Tasty Heroes is a playful collection of illustrated greeting cards and pocket-sized books celebrating icons from music, film, art and beyond. Each design combines original hand-drawn artwork with food-based wordplay, turning familiar cultural figures into witty, collectible gifts. The books bring together 54 figures from a single category, pairing bold illustrations with short, illuminating texts.
Tasty Heroes was created by Sussex-based artist and writer Marcus Agerman Ross. Each idea is carefully researched and refined, with every illustration drawn by hand in a distinctive, naïve style using artist-quality marker pens. Marcus previously worked across fashion and cultural media as a creative director, photographer, stylist and writer, and founded the independent magazine Jocks&Nerds.
The collection also includes Feline Heroes, a series of simple black-and-white illustrations developed from observational sketches of Marcus’s own cats.
Designed and printed in the UK for independent bookshops, galleries, museum shops, gift shops and other carefully curated retailers, Tasty Heroes brings together wit, warmth, culture and charm in products made to be discovered, shared and kept.
